2007 Revaluation

The Town of Poughkeepsie and surrounding municipalities, (Beacon, Beekman, East Fishkill, Fishkill, LaGrange, and Wappingers), have joined together to establish the Southern Dutchess County Reassessment Consortium (SDCRC). The last revaluation was in 1987.

The goal of a revaluation is to create a fair and equitable assessment roll. This, in turn, restores tax equity to all property owners. It also restores financial stability to the town and school districts by maintaining values at 100%.

The purpose of the reval is not to raise taxes or revenues.
